A major sports and entertainment redevelopment at Belmont Park — Muñoz Engineering provided construction stakeout and as-built surveying support for the new home of the New York Islanders.
UBS ARENA
In July of 2017 the Empire State Development Corporation announced the redevelopment of 43 acres of land within Belmont Park for the ground-up construction of a new sports and entertainment venue.
Located in Elmont, New York, this $1.3 billion redevelopment transformed land that had been deemed as surplus into the new home of the NHL’s New York Islanders and created an event destination that included a 350,000-square foot retail and entertainment complex and a new hotel.
Muñoz, as a subconsultant to the joint venture team of AECOM/Hunt, provided construction stakeout and as-built surveys in and around the arena.
